Tennessee has added its first running back of the 2023 class, earning a commitment from Bishop Gorman (Nevada) standout Will Stallings Jr Sunday afternoon.
Stallings, a three-star 6-foot-1 bruiser back from Las Vegas, held offers from Pittsburgh and Utah State but committed to the Vols after attending a camp a few months ago.
Stallings represents Tennessee’s 10th commitment of the 2023 class, one that is headlined by five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava, four-star edge Caleb Herring and four-star tight end Ethan Davis. Josh Heupel is building a sneaky-good group of players for his eventual third season – the Vols are currently ranked as the No. 12 class in the nation.
The Vols are pursuing other running backs in the 2023 class such as Louisiana four-star Kaleb Jackson, Alabama four-star Jerimiah Cobb and local-prospect DeSean Bishop.
