Tennessee has a new pass rusher to add to its growing roster.

The Vols picked up their second commitment in two days on Saturday. The latest came from Carson Gentle, a 2024 prospect who attends Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound linebacker/defensive end is listed as a three-star prospect. Gentle also received interest from Stanford, Virginia Tech and Harvard, so he should have no problem being eligible when it comes time to enroll in college.

Gentle is Tennessee’s second commitment of the 2024 class, along with athlete Jonathan Echols from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

The Vols picked up another commitment on Friday when Nathan Leacock committed to Tennessee. The 6-3, 200-pound receiver chose the Vols over North Carolina and Michigan. Leacock is also rated as a three-star prospect. He is set to be a part of Tennessee’s 2023 class, which is ranked seventh in the nation and has 19 commitments.
