Which SEC team could ruin your whole season?

Nothing thrills a college football fan more than feeling their phone vibrate and seeing “UPSET ALERT” pop up on the screen. There’s something about watching an undefeated season come to an end, a top-10 team fall down the rankings and a dominant program feel the agony of defeat. An upset is one of the best things about college football; everyone loves it.

Except when it’s their team.

Not all teams feel the sting of a loss quite like those with championship-caliber potential, but these losses are the ones that college football fans love the most. It’s clear that Georgia and Alabama sit at the top going into the 2022 season, but is there a team or two that could wreak havoc in the SEC?

These are the teams you need to watch out for:

South Carolina

Shane Beamer isn’t in Columbia for the World’s Largest Fire Hydrant; he’s there to win. The addition of a talent like Spencer Rattler doesn’t hurt either. The Gamecocks are coming back… well, as much as the South Carolina can come back that is.

LSU

Brian Kelly can’t do a southern accent to save his life, but with all the talent that lives in Louisiana, he doesn’t really need it to get recruits. LSU was once deemed DBU for a reason, and unfortunately for everyone else in the SEC, they may soon see that title returned to Baton Rouge.
