The transfer from Southern California has been cleared to play in Tennessee season-opening game against Ball State, according to a Tennessee spokesman. McCoy is widely considered an elite talent at receiver. However, he comes with a bit of a history.

McCoy transferred from Southern California to Texas, then back to Southern California before ending up at Tennessee. The Vols could use another big target alongside Preseason All-SEC receiver Cedric Tillman.
