Tennessee receiver Jimmy Calloway has been suspended for throwing several punches during the Vols’ 63-6 thrashing of Akron on Saturday. Calloway was almost certain to face some sort of discipline from the SEC after an odd fracas. Now, we know how long the suspension will be.
The suspension was first reported by Jimmy Hyams:
Tennessee has suspended WR Jimmy Calloway for the first half of the Florida game based on his actions that got him ejected from the Akron game last Saturday. Calloway threw 4-5 punches at an Akron DB who apparently grabbed Calloway by the face mask. @SportsAnimal991
