One of the few remaining 2023 lineman on Tennessee’s recruiting board has announced his commitment date. The Vols are thought to be the team to beat.
Three-star Vysen Lang announced via social media he will be making his college decision on Nov. 8.
The 6-foot-4, 335-pound offensive lineman was in Knoxville on an official visit to witness Tennessee’s victory against Florida. Tennessee extended Lang a scholarship offer in February.
It’s safe to say Lang was impressed with what he saw in Neyland Stadium. Scott Wiltfrong of Rivals247 gave a “crystal ball” prediction for Lang, projecting him to Tennessee.
Lang wasn’t only impressed with the environment in Knoxville. He was also impressed with the family-like feel of the team.
“Current players, we were just in there just vibing and chilling,” Lang told Rivals247 following his visit. “They took me under their wing and treated me like I was already one of the players. That’s what I like about it. It’s like a close brotherhood — not just only with the O-linemen.
“It’s like, with the wide receivers, all the freshman class, the senior class — just all the way through — we were just in there talking, chatting it up like a big family.”
Lang announced he would be in Auburn this weekend, attending their contest with LSU. He has also taken an official visit to Arkansas.
Nov. 8 will be a day of interest for Tennessee, as it seems the Volunteers are a clear favorite to land the offensive tackle.
Lang attends Pike Road High School in Pike Road, AL.
