Tennessee didn’t play this weekend, but still managed to improve its bowl ranking. The Vols moved from No 9 to No. 8 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and held their position at No. 8 in the AP Poll. The Vols surpassed Kentucky in the Coaches Poll after the Wildcats lost to Ole Miss 22-19.
Tennessee (4-0, 1-0 SEC) is ranked top-10 in back-to-back weeks for the first time since Oct. 22 and 28 when the Vols also held the No. 8 position.
