Tennessee is looking to add some depth to its 2024 class, and this 6-foot-4, 270-pound recruit can help them do just that.
Four-star prospect Liam Andrews is in the early stages of his recruitment. He attends Dexter School in Brookline, MA. They play games on Saturdays, making it difficult for Andrews to visit college campuses over the weekend, especially on game day.
Andrews and the Volunteers have been in contact since the beginning of his recruitment. Tennessee extended Andrews a scholarship offer in April.
“I’ve been talking quite a bit with Tennessee,” Andrews told Rivals247. “They’ve been cooking up something good. They have a pretty good ’23 class, so I’ve been talking a lot to their coaching staff, especially before the season. I definitely want to go see Tennessee.”
Tennessee’s offense ranks No. 1 in the FBS, averaging 559.3 yards per game. Obviously, the explosive offense has made an impression on the four-star prospect.
Andrews has also been impressed by other programs so far, including Penn State. He has already taken two visits to Penn State, and attribute his connections with coaches and the environment as the reason for his affinity for the Nittany Lions.
Andrews has also visited Ohio State, and regards their environment as unique. It seems the Buckeyes are another program high on his list.
Andrews has also taken a trip to Oklahoma. The interior offensive lineman has multiple offers from schools closer to his Massachusetts home, like Boston College, UMass, and others.
As his high school season comes to a close, Andrews may try to get to Knoxville before the end of the Vols’ 2022 schedule. If not, expect the prospect to take an offseason visit to Tennessee.
