With the commitment of a highly coveted prospect approaching, people have started giving their predictions.
Four-star prospect Mazeo Bennett is announcing his college plans on Sunday. Bennett ranks as the No. 3 receiver in the class of 2024. As the date approaches, anticipation is building.
Bennett’s top eight includes Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia, among others.
Bennett has been given a couple of “crystal ball” predictions. Both Steve Wiltfrong and Brian Dohn of 247Sports have projected that Bennett will verbally commit to Tennessee.
South Carolina was thought to be the program that would land the Greeneville, SC native. He has visited Columbia several times, but it seems like Tennessee has crept up to the top to land Bennett as of recent.
Bennett was on Rocky Top to watch the Volunteers’ historic victory against Florida, to which the prospect was impressed.

Bennett has also retweeted several posts regarding the Volunteers explosive offense.
It makes sense why Bennett, a wide receiver, would be impressed with the numbers Tennessee has put up this year. The Volunteers lead the FBS in total offensive rankings.
The 5-foot-11 and 175-pound prospect attends Greeneville High School. He finished 2021 with 25 catches for 661 yards and five touchdowns. He also made an impact on special teams, returning 13 kicks for 335 yards.
