Carnell Tate has been stirring the pot recently. Nothing changed on Saturday.

Coming into Saturday’s matchup between Tennessee and Alabama, rumors swirled that the 6-foot-2 and 185-pound, four-star wide receiver was going to be in Knoxville.

Unfortunately, for Tennessee, it appears it was just a rumor.

The talk around Tate and Tennessee this week did not stop the prospect from taking to Twitter during Tennessee’s game and talking about the Vols.

It seems that Tate is a hard-commit to the Buckeyes, despite his Twitter activity. However, he’s still flirting with the Vols.

Most notably, Tate retweeted a tweet that said “I’d kill to be in Knoxville, Tennessee”

Up until Friday, it was thought that Tate might be coming to Knoxville. Volunteer fans and Buckeye fans took to Tate’s twitter replies to try and win the prospect over and dispel any rumors of a flip, respectively.

Saturday was not the first time Tate’s twitter post became the talk of many fans. Back in August, Tate made waves by tweeting a picture in Tennessee’s jersey from his official visit, and wishing a Tennessee recruiting staff member a happy birthday.

The wide receiver took notice of one of the Volunteer’s wide receivers who had a record-breaking game.

Could watching Hyatt’s dominant performance make him flip his commitment to Tennessee? It will be an interesting story to follow for Tennessee fans even though it still seems Tate is strongly committed to Ohio State.
