According to Jaylen McCollough’s attorney, the University of Tennessee has cleared McCollough of any wrongdoing concerning the incident that occurred on October 9. However, the Knox County District Attorney’s investigation into McCollough’s actions is still on-going. McCollough is charged with felony aggravated assault.
McCollough’s attorney, Chloe Akers, released a statement:
“After a thorough investigation into allegations related to an incident occurring on October 9th, 2022, Jaylen McCollough has resolved this matter with the University of Tennessee’s Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards.”
“As part of an Alternative Resolution Agreement, there was no finding of responsibility against Mr. McCollough for any violations of the University’s Code of Conduct. He remains fully enrolled as a student without suspension or probation.”
Tennessee fans and McCollough’s teammates will no doubt be excited to have him back in the lineup, even if UT-Martin proves not to be the toughest competition of the season.
