Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel was non-committal when asked about the potential return of receiver Cedric Tillman and defensive back Jaylen McCollough against Kentucky on Saturday.

“Cedric, we’ll continue to evaluate here as he goes through practices this week,” Heupel said when asked about Tillman, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury since the Akron game.

Tillman and McCollough could both be available for the Kentucky game. McCollough was cleared by the University of Tennessee’s Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards per a report by the News Sentinel on Friday. However, Heupel didn’t say McCollough would play on Saturday against the Wildcats.

“Jaylen, you guys saw, the campus part of his process is complete,” Heupel said.

McCollough was charged with aggravated assault earlier this month in which a man, who admitted he had been drinking, entered the wrong apartment and an altercation with McCollough ensued.
