An east Tennessee receiver announced his top eight schools on Wednesday.
Brandon Heyward, a four-star receiver out of Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, released his top eight via Twitter.
Heyward included Tennessee in his top eight, among Missouri, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Boston College.
The Volunteers extended Heyward a scholarship offer in June of 2021.
Heyward has most recently visited Cincinnati. He is currently ranked as the No. 48 prospect in the class of 2024.
Heyward hails from the same high school as Clemson standout, and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Higgins chose the Tigers over Tennessee, even though Oak Ridge High School was just about a half hour away from Tennessee’s campus.
Heyward has 24 receptions for 378 yards and three touchdowns for Oak Ridge. He measures out at 5-foot-10.5 and 162-pounds.
