The third College Football Rankings came out on Tuesday evening and the Vols came in at No. 5.
Here are the updated rankings:
1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Texas Christian
5. Tennessee
6. LSU
7. Southern California
8. Alabama
The Vols were ranked No. 1 in the first ranking announcement and No. 5 last week. The latest College Football Playoff announcement was made between basketball games during the State Farm Champions Classic.
Tennessee plays South Carolina at 7 p.m. on ESPN this Saturday.
