Tennessee’s recruitment of this 2023 prospect may pay off for the Volunteers.
Arion Carter decomitted from Memphis on Wednesday, he announced via Twitter.
The linebacker had been committed to Memphis for almost four months.
Carter is a four-star prospect from Symrna, Tennessee. He attends Symrna High School.
Carter is currently scheduled to have an official visit on Dec. 2nd in Knoxville, giving Josh Heupel a prime chance to sway the prospect.
The Volunteers extended Carter a scholarship offer in September.
The 6-foot-1 and 210-pound linebacker was in Ohio State over the weekend. He is also expected to visit Alabama on Dec. 9th.

Carter is ranked as the No. 24 linebacker in the class of 2023, and the No. 6 prospect in the state of Tennessee.
