A loss by the baseball Vols ended the University of Tennessee’s athletic season for the 2022-23 academic calendar year Tuesday. Caleb Calhoun and Dave Hooker touch on that in Off The Hook Sports’ Wednesday, June 21 podcast along with a Tennessee Football commitment, Nick Saban and Josh Heupel.

Tennessee Baseball loses to LSU in CWS

In a College World Series rematch with the LSU Tigers Tuesday night, Tennessee Baseball was eliminated with a 5-0 loss. The Vols lost to that same team Saturday but then beat the Stanford Cardinal on Monday. LSU lost to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons that same day. Whichever team won this game would’ve had to beat Wake twice this weekend.

Tennessee Football adds 2024 Georgia LB

Elite linebacker Jordan Burns out of Pace Academy in Atlanta, Ga., committed to Tennessee Football on Tuesday, becoming the Vols’ third commitment for the month of June and second within a week. However, the Vols beat out primarily the Arkansas Razorbacks and Vanderbilt Commodores for Burns, so is he overrated?

Nick Saban continues whining over CFP, NIL

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban made two baseless points in a sit-down interview with Joel Klatt recently. Saban said his team should have been in the College Football Playoff last year because they would’ve been favored over three of the teams in there, and he said name, image and likeness needs more balance while whining that players don’t have a “contract.”
