Josh Heupel and Tennessee football have successfully recruited at Milton High School in Georgia. The Vols have already picked up a commitment for the 2025 class from three-star cornerback Shamar Arnoux out of Milton.

Arnoux’s teammate got the chance to visit Tennessee himself over the weekend.

“Any chance he gets, he tries to get me to go there,” Dylan Lewis, a three-star cornerback, said.

Lewis ranks as a top 500 prospect in the 2025 class and as the No. 43 cornerback by 247Sports Composite rankings. He was extended a scholarship offer from Tennessee after camping with the Vols in June 2022.

Heupel has made Lewis’ high school a priority in Georgia. Lewis ranks as the No. 48 prospect from Georgia.

“(Heupel) was like, ‘I love when all the Milton guys come up here and see us,'” Lewis said. “He’s like, ‘Keep coming up here. Keep building this relationship. And sooner or later you’ll be involved.’

“It means a lot. It shows that he cares, especially coming from a head coach standpoint or like the boss man around there. So if you have his attention, that means you’re doing something right.”

Lewis currently holds over 16 scholarship offers. Other schools involved in his recruitment right now include LSU, Auburn, Clemson, Kentucky and North Carolina.

From his lofty list of offers, the Vols have separated themselves in the eyes of the 6-foot and 170-pound corner.

“Tennessee is one of my top schools,” Lewis said.

He plans on making it back to Knoxville to watch the Vols host Georgia in Neyland Stadium and “maybe one more.” During his trip this past weekend, he got to continue to build a bond with the coaching staff, including defensive back coach Willie Martinez.

“They just kept saying, ‘We love you as a ball player,'” Lewis said. “‘Just keep coming up here as much as possible.’ That’s the main thing they kept saying.”
