Josh Heupel’s third season as Tennessee Football head coach kicks off Saturday at noon. The Vols face the Virginia Cavaliers in Nashville, Tenn., at Nissan Stadium. UT comes into the game ranked No. 12 in the AP Poll and No. 10 in the Coaches Poll after an 11-2 season and No. 6 finish in both polls.
In the Vols’ last outing, to close the 2022 regular season, they beat the Clemson Tigers 31-14 in the Orange Bowl. That game was on Dec. 30. Here is all the broadcast information you need for this Tennessee Football matchup on Saturday.

It’s the first game for UVA since the tragic shooting that killed three players last year and cut their season short. They finished the year 3-7 and enter this year with a transfer quarterback in Tony Muskett while Tony Elliott enters his second season on the job.
Joe Milton III is back as the starter for Tennessee Football, and that’s the biggest storyline. Milton started the season Heupel’s first year, in 2021, but he got hurt two games in and lost his job to Hendon Hooker. Last year, Hooker got hurt in November, and Milton started the final two games of the year.
One of those starts was that Orange Bowl win over Clemson, and he was actually named the bowl game’s MVP. That was the first game for Joey Halzle as offensive coordinator as well. He was promoted to replace Alex Golesh. Meanwhile, Alec Abeln has been promoted to tight ends coach.
After this game, Tennessee Football returns to Knoxville next week for its home opener at Neyland Stadium against the Austin Peay Governors. UVA will also have its home opener next week, in Charlottesville, Va., against the James Madison Dukes.
