Keenan Britt was young when his older brother, K.J. Britt, went through the recruitment process. He doesn’t remember much of it first hand.

He does remember how important relationships with coaches are and looking for a college that feels like home. The 2026 prospect visited Tennessee football this weekend, and the Vols are one of the first schools to have extended Britt a scholarship offer.

“I talked to everybody, I talked to the whole coaching staff,” Britt said. “I enjoyed my times at Tennessee. … We were basically just talking about football, how’s schools going, who I’m playing next week, stuff like that.”

Britt, out of Oxford (Al.) High School, ranks as the No. 45 prospect in the 2026 class and the No. 7 defensive lineman by 247Sports Composite.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound prospect got to talk to Tennessee defensive line coach Rodney Garner on his visit.

“I think coach G is a good guy and I like the way, his style of coaching hard and his D-line is very physical,” Britt said.

“I want to play hard and physical and I just like playing fast and physical. I’m wanting good coaching and just learn how to play the game better.”

Britt also holds offers from Auburn, Arkansas and UCF in addition to Tennessee. He said he’s talking to Auburn, Alabama, Oregon, UCF and Florida the most in his recruitment currently.

The defensive lineman is taking his time in his recruitment, with a lot of visit and time left to go.

“I’m not looking for home since I’m so early in my recruiting process,” Britt said. “The intensity that the coaching staff had and how coach Heupel is such a player’s coach. He’s a just a real good guy, and that stood out to me. How they interacted with each other, the players, they all were playing as one. I liked that stuff.”

Britt expects to be back in Neyland Stadium for when the Vols take on Georgia.
