There’s still a bowl game left, but offseason talk has begun for Tennessee Football and schools not in title contention. John Adams joins Caleb Calhoun and Dave Hooker to talk irreplaceable Vols, Josh Heupel, the Texas A&M Aggies, optics and Week 13 coaching fails on Off the Hook Sports’ Tuesday, Nov. 28 podcast. Dave Nathan talks UT vs. UNC in basketball, and SEC scheduling also made news.

Who can Tennessee Football not afford to lose?

This day in age, the end of the regular season means the beginning of NIL and transfers in college football. Which players who could come back next year can Tennessee Football least afford to lose? Who would devastate the Vols if they made a decision to transfer to another school? What can UT do about all of this? John Adams joins to discuss.

What if Texas A&M hired Josh Heupel?

The Texas A&M Aggies had a wild coaching search that started with Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops and finished up with Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Elko. However, what if they had targeted Tennessee Football head coach Josh Heupel as Jimbo Fisher’s replacement? Would he be a better or worse hire than Elko? Adams stays on to talk about this.

Coaches and optics

Many college football coaches these days seem to be making in-game decisions with respect to what the point spread is and how their team appears. Is this something coaches should be doing? How much of the blame lies with them as opposed to the makeup of the sport in general, which places an emphasis on style points? Adams gives his thoughts.
