Last Saturday, they covered the 1997 Heisman Trophy race involving Peyton Manning, and earlier this week, they did a feature on defensive lineman Reggie White.

Does SEC have incentive to favor Vols?

Given the fact that Tennessee Football has one of the easiest slates in the SEC for next year, is there growing evidence that the league and national media have an incentive to show a bias toward the Vols going into the future? Is that a departure from what the program has dealt with in the past?

Bowl season begins

On Saturday, the first slate of college football bowl games will begin. This would have been the start of the College Football Playoff if the 12-team format began this year. Is the expanded playoff worth devaluing the bowl games that begin on Saturday, or are those bowl games devalued anyway?
