It was a low-drama Early Signing Period for Tennessee Football. Everyone who was expected to sign did so, and the Vols added commitments along the way. Josh Heupel put an emphasis on keeping Tennessee’s in-state players at home in the 2024 class as well with 29% of the class hailing from in-state.
With the Early Signing Period in the rearview mirror, here is where Tennessee’s class ranks.
247Sports
Tennessee’s class ranks No. 13 by 247Sports with an average player rating of 91.07. While the ranking itself is nothing to boast about, the average player rating is the highest it has been for the Vols since before 2010 on 247Sports.
Even when Tennessee brought in the No. 4 class in 2015, the average player rating was 89.49. A lower number of commitments leads to the lower overall ranking more than likely.
Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Auburn, Oklahoma and LSU rank above the Vols on 247Sports. Here’s the breakdown.
