While there is little certainty in recruiting, Tennessee seems to have a safety lined up for the future. A commitment could be on the horizon.
Per 247 Sports, safety Lagonza Hayward will take an official visit to Tennessee on June 21, the weekend after he takes official visits to Southern California on June 7 and Alabama on June 14. The timing would seem to work in the Vols’ favor as they’ll have the final word with the 6-foot-1, 200-pound prospect before the dead period begins on June 24. While those three schools seem to have the upper hand in Hayward’s recruitment, Tennessee is the school that Hayward has said has felt like home. That’s a good sign, but why would a defensive back want to play for the Vols, who put so much pressure on the position?
