Tennessee’s football team is preparing itself for what is expected to be a grueling summer workout that will include work on the field and, of course, weight room challenges to become bigger, better, stronger and more conditioned than ever before. Why? With more known opponents on the roster, there will be even more close games against more common opponents. Moreover, with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma, the SEC just got plain better.
The answer for that is easy. The Vols have to be more versatile. They proved they can’t rely on receiver screens last season, yet that was about all the Vols were comfortable doing when it was time to throw the ball. However, that wasn’t the only aspect of former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton’s game that was lacking last season.
