Remember Jason Witten? Of course you do. He was only one of the greatest tight ends to ever don a Tennessee uniform. Hold tight, there could be another Witten on the way.


Witten spent three seasons with the Vols from 2000-2002. In his junior year, he set a single-season program record in receiving yardage for tight ends, leading the team in catches, yards and touchdowns. He went on to have a legendary NFL career, spending 17 seasons in the league – primarily with the Dallas Cowboys – before retiring in 2021.


Well, if you don’t feel old yet, you just might now after learning his youngest son Cooper Witten is already being courted by college football teams. The teenage Witten won’t see action on college turf until 2027, but it’s never too early to take a look at this young phenom. Here are five things to know:
