Let’s have some fun. College football is back, and we’re about to go all in on our weekly picks and bets. First, though, what are some gambling moves on futures to make before the start of the season? Remember, these are about the combination of likelihood and odds, and we’ve found some gems to get rich. Here are the five best bets to make for this upcoming college football season.
Tennessee title and Nico Iamaleava Heisman parlay +15000 on FanDuel
I’m picking both of these things, so of course I’d take the money. $15,000 on a $100 bet is epic. Nico Iamaleava is a perfect fit for Josh Heupel’s system, and the Vols are ready to take over college football. However, even though it’s my pick, it’s actually the least sure bet on here, so let’s go to the others.
Memphis make CFP +550 FanDuel
It’s always hard to predict Group of Five teams, but it’s also really hard to see the Memphis Tigers not being the best team at that level of college football this year coming off a 10-3 season. As a result, Ryan Silverfield’s team is a great bet to represent that group in this year’s College Football Playoff.
Big Ten over 3.5 playoff teams BetOnline (+155)
Here is your most sure bet. I recently predicted the SEC would have five CFB Playoff teams while the Big Ten has four, soaking up all the wildcards, but if an extra one gets in, they’ll take from that fifth SEC team. As a result, the Big Ten is a lock for four teams, and the +155 is better than the SEC at +125 to have over four teams. Payout is better, and it’s more likely. Take it.
Clemson win ACC +350 BetMGM
Essentially, the Clemson Tigers have roughly a 50-50 shot with the Florida State Seminoles to win the ACC, but they are given 3.5-to-1 odds. Those are odds you want to play. FSU has solid odds too, maybe even better, but I’m actually picking Dabo Swinney’s team to win the league, so for me personally, that’s the best bet. FSU would be fine too, though.
Shane Beamer fired +1600 BetOnline
Billy Napier of the Florida Gators and Sam Pittman of the Arkansas Razorbacks were at the top of this list and should have been, and Ryan Day of the Ohio State Buckeyes at +1200 was good too. However, South Caroilna Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer at +1600 to get fired is a steal. There’s a really good chance he goes 0-8 in SEC play, so jump on this one.
