As previously noted, some of the best football recruiting tools are the friends and teammates of the player. This is especially true for defensive back Justin Hopkins. His current high school teammate, Ethan Utley, has already committed to Tennessee for the 2025 season. Utley has been encouraging his friend Hopkins to follow him to Knoxville.
“Ethan, we go to school together, so any time I see him in the hall he’s, ‘Go Vols, go Vols, go Vols,'” Hopkins said to the VolReport on Rivals.com in April. “It was like all last week after I got my offer, he was like, ‘Why not Tennessee?’ That’s really the question right now.”
While he is still mulling over his scholarship offers, “Why not Tennessee?” sounds like a good question for the young star. Here are a few things to know about this potential future Vol.
