Tennessee is battling for some of the biggest stars in college football recruiting. Currently, the Vols have the No. 7 ranked 2026 247Sports Composite class, good for second in the SEC behind the Auburn Tigers. That follows their No. 11 ranked 2025 247Sports Composite Signing Class, which was only eighth in the SEC.

With seven commitments for 2026, including one five-star and four four-stars, Josh Heupel and co. still have a lot of work to do on the trail in order to keep up their momentum. Keeping some of these prospects through Signing Day could be difficult as well. Here are three prospects the Vols are trying to welcome into their program:

RB Savion Hiter

Tennessee is battling the last three national champions to land five-star running back Savion Hiter, who is from Louisa County High School in Mineral, Va. The 6-foot, 200-pound prospect told On3 he will visit Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee this summer.

That’s tough competition, but good company for the Vols to be in. Hiter eliminated Penn State recently.

DL Bryce Perry-Wright

Tennessee has some work to do in order to land Perry-Wright, a 6-2, 250-pound defensive lineman from Buford (Ga.) High School. Perry-Wright told 247Sports that he already had official visits scheduled to Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M. He said he expects to take more official visits this fall, but one has to wonder if that might be too late for the Vols to pick up the four-star prospect.

Ethan “Boobie” Feaster

Feaster, who is from DeSoto, Texas, has announced he will reclassify from the 2027 class to the 2026 class. And there’s plenty of competition for the five-star running back, per On3.

The reclassification report also stated that Feaster has trimmed his list to 12 schools: Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, SMU, LSU, Oregon, Southern Cal, Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
