In a huge top 15 September showdown, the Tennessee Vols and Georgia Bulldogs face off on Rocky Top Saturday afternoon with College GameDay in town. This is a game with huge College Football Playoff implications and, although far less important, SEC Championship game implications as well.

UT, ranked No. 15 in both polls, comes into this game after a 72-17 win over the East Tennessee State University Buccaneers for their home opener. Before beating the ETSU Bucs, Josh Heupel’s team beat the Syracuse Orange 45-26 on a neutral field in Atlanta, Ga., at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

UGA on the other hand, ranked No. 3 in the Coaches Poll and No. 6 in the AP Poll, comes into this game on the heels of a 28-6 win over the Austin Peay Governors. Before facing APSU, Kirby Smart’s team beat the Marshall Thundering Herd 45-7. Here is all the information you need for this matchup.

Although the Tennessee Vols are only entering their third game with new quarterback Joey Aguilar, Georgia has the bigger question among the signal-callers. This is Gunner Stockton’s first road game as a starter with the Dawgs. It is Aguilar’s first game against an SEC foe, to be fair.

So far, UT has covered the spread in both outings while UGA has failed to cover. Although the Dawgs are riding an eight-game winning streak in the series, many signs point to UT finally pulling out the win. Vegas seems to see them, as they moved the line from Georgia -7 last Saturday to Georgia -3.5 on Monday.

After this game, the Tennessee Vols will host the UAB Blazers next Saturday. Georgia, meanwhile, has a bye but will continue SEC play coming out of it with a huge matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sept. 27, which will also be a revenge game for them.
