Tennessee Football vs. Virginia: Five best prop bets

Prop bets are back! As Tennessee Football gets set to take on the Virginia Cavaliers Saturday, the Vols are four-touchdown favorites. However, what is their most likely path to covering? Take a look here with the five best prop bets for UT vs. UVA Saturday in Nashville, Tenn., at Nissan Stadium.

5. Dylan Sampson TD +170

You can get pretty good odds with this one, but it’s still the least likely of all the prop bets. Dylan Sampson is the all-purpose back Josh Heupel will bring in for a change of pace to break the big play. However, given all the offseason talk about him, expectations should be that he breaks one for a touchdown against UVA.

4. Squirrel White TD -105

By far Joe Milton III’s favorite target last year, Squirrel White is the one guy who can catch a Milton overthrow. He’s stepping in to replace Jalin Hyatt as the No. 1 slot receiver for Tennessee Football this year, so the Vols will likely look to him for the big play. When Heupel dials up the deep ball, White will be the first option.

3. Jabari Small scores FIRST TD +440

These are by far the best odds of the game. The Vols scored the first touchdown in a game nine times last year, and Jabari Small was the one who scored five of those times. He scored the first touchdown for UT seven times, a majority of games in the season. With Josh Heupel likely to rely even more on the run this year, Small is a great bet.

2. Joe Milton III Under 280.5 yards per game

Hendon Hooker averaged just 285 yards a game last year, and Heupel is going to work the clock a bit more this year. Add in the fact that the Cavs only gave up 204 yards a game through the air last year, and Milton throwing for 281 yards is a tall task. Also, assuming the Vols take control early, he might get pulled before he even hits 200 yards.

1. Tennessee -14.5 first half

Make no mistake, if Tennessee Football doesn’t cover, it’ll be because the Vols let Virginia back in the game late. However, they’re going to dominate early, so even better than the regular spread, put a lot on them to cover the first half spread. Heupel’s team will dominate, and Nico Iamaleava should be in by the third quarter.
