Tennessee athletics will host a watch party for this weekend’s Super Regional matchup against Notre Dame, Tennessee announced Tuesday.
The location will differ from year’s past, located beyond the outfield down the right field line and just beyond the parking lot, near the University of Tennessee fraternities. Previous watch parties were held on the opposite end of the park on Pat Head Summitt Street. Location changed due to construction near the area.
The event will feature a live, big-screen game broadcast, a pep rally, a DJ, food trucks and merchandise stands. Festivities will begin 90 minutes before first pitch before each contest.
Tennessee’s first game is at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by a 2 p.m. start time on Saturday. Sunday, if necessary, will be announced at a later time.
This will be Tennessee’s second straight Super Regional visit, looking to get back to the College World Series in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history.
Notre Dame advanced to its second straight Super Regional out of the Statesboro Regional, downing Texas Tech, UNC Greensboro and host No. 16 Georgia Southern to match up with the No. 1 team in the country this weekend.
