Tennessee prospect Nic Moore is on the verge of announcing his college football decision. The declaration is expected Thursday morning.

Moore, who is from Jefferson County High School in Dandridge, Tenn., visited Tennessee last weekend as part of a massive group of official visitors that were on campus throughout the summer event held to showcase the Vols’ program. Per a person close to his recruiting, Tennessee made up a “ton” of ground.

Moore, who is a strong academic student, was primarily considering Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Tennessee before the Commodores were recently crossed of the list. Moore is listed as the No. 10 prospect in Tennessee, the No. 20 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 337 overall prospect in the country.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman has been tutored well. The four-star prospect has been mentored by Jefferson County head coach Spencer Riley, who was the Vols’ starting center on the 1998 National Championship team.

Based on the timing of the announcement and various sources who said Moore’s visit was a complete success, it’s hard to imagine Moore not committing to the Vols today. Tennessee currently has 11 commitments for the 2025 class, which ranks No. 23 in the nation.
