Tennessee coach Josh Heupel is making sure the Vols are in good hands.

As the Vols finalize their 2023 class and move into the 2024 recruiting cycle, Heupel is welcoming some 2025 and 2026 recruits to Knoxville on Saturday. Too young? Never. 

2025 quarterback Ryan Montgomery

Montgomery is expected to be in Knoxville on Saturday, per Clint Cosgrove.

Montgomery attends Findlay High School in Findlay, OH. Although early, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect appears to be an Ohio State lean. 

Montgomery was extended a scholarship offer from Tennessee in June of last year. 

2025 quarterback Cutter Boley 

Boley, ranked as a 4-star prospect, announced via social media he would be in Knoxville on Saturday.

The 6-5 and 203-pound prospect is one of the top passers in Kentucky. He threw for 1,222 yards and 10 touchdowns as of Sept. 14. He attends Lexington (Ky.) Christian School. 

Boley was extended a scholarship offer from the Volunteers in June. 

2025 tight end/athlete Eli Owens

Owens announced via social media he would be on Rocky Top this weekend.

The 6-3 and 226-pound prospect is one prospect that Heupel would like to keep in-state. Owens attends Alcoa High (Tenn.) School. Owens was extended a scholarship offer from Tennessee in April. 

2025 athlete Martels Carter Jr. 

Carter announced via Twitter that he would be in Knoxville on Saturday.

Carter is another prospect the Volunteers would like to keep in-state. The 5-11 and 179-pound athlete attends Brainerd High School in Chattanooga. 

Tennessee extended a scholarship offer to Carter in May.

2026 quarterback Elias Childers 

The freshman quarterback announced he would be in Knoxville on Saturday via social media.

Childers attends Webb School in Knoxville. The 6-1 and 185-pound dual-threat prospect is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in Tennessee according to QB Hit List. 

2026 safety Syr Hunter

The 5-7 and 130 pound safety announced he would be in Knoxville on Saturday via social media.
