This four-star prospect in the class of 2023 had such a good time in Neyland Stadium on Saturday that he’s planning to come back for Tennessee’s next home game.
Defensive lineman prospect Daevin Hobbs took to Twitter on Sunday with some pictures from his official visit.
Hobbs is one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the 2023 class. Hobbs spoke highly of his weekend in Knoxville.
“Just the feel of the campus environment, everything,” Hobbs told Rivals247. “It’s a big football town. Everybody loves the football program. The fan base is crazy, so, I mean, I love it here… I would say (the visit) helped them a lot. I really enjoyed my time up here this weekend, really liked everything.”
At 6-foot-4 and 262 pounds, Hobbs would be a massive get for the Volunteers. Head coach Josh Heupel and his staff have made it a priority to recruit in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
Hobbs said he plans on attending the Oct. 15 matchup against Alabama, which has also been in strong contention for his services. Hobbs is also considering Auburn, Georgia and North Carolina among others.
Hobbs was first extended a scholarship offer by the Vols in June. He was in Knoxville for two Tennessee games last season. Hobbs attends Jay M. Robinson High School in Concord, NC.
