One of Tennessee’s top in-state targets enjoyed his visit to a rival school over the weekend.
Boo Carter – a four-star prospect out of Chattanooga Christian School in Chattanooga, TN – took a visit to LSU over the weekend.
Carter watched LSU upset Alabama in Death Valley when Brian Kelley made the gutsy call to go for a two-point conversion in overtime.
That wasn’t the first time Carter has rushed a field, though. The 5-foot-10 and 184-pound athlete was in Neyland Stadium to watch Tennessee beat Alabama.
“I had jumped on the field with the rest of the recruits,” Carter told Rivals247 following the game. “It was a fun atmosphere. After (Alabama) missed that field goal, I was like, ‘There’s 15 seconds left on the clock.’ I was like, ‘If they go down and kick a field goal, I’m jumping on the field.’ Everybody jumped on the field, so I jumped.”
Carter was recently named a Mr. Football finalist in the state of Tennessee.
He has 1,458 total offensive yards this season, along with 40 tackles and four interceptions on the defensive side. He does it all for CCS – Carter has rushed for 678 yards and 18 touchdowns and has caught 36 passes for 780 yards.
Could Carter’s experience in Baton Rouge sway him to the Tigers? Steve Wiltfong still projects Carter to Tennessee, but this may be something Tennessee fans want to pay attention to.
