Tennessee expecting a monster crowd on Saturday

There was a time in which Tennessee struggled to sellout home games against even SEC foes. Count those days as officially over. The Vols announced that the Tennessee-Missouri game would be the sixth consecutive sellout for Tennessee. The announcement was made on UT athletic director Danny White’s Twitter account.

The Vols began selling out games regularly, which was once a weekly occurrence, when the Vols hosted Ole Miss last season.

There was plenty of reason for Tennessee fans to buy tickets for that game, considering former UT coach Lane Kiffin was a part of contest. Before that, the Vols had gone nearly four years without selling out a home game. That’s not a problem anymore. The Vols have sold out six of its seven home games this season and are currently riding a six-game sellout streak. That will ride into next season considering this is the Vols’ last home game of the season. The Vols host Missouri at noon on Saturday.
