Who was on campus this weekend?

Five-star LB Sammy Brown

Brown will be taking his official visit to Tennessee during the “865 Live” event this weekend. The five-star also has official visits slated for Georgia, Clemson, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

Ranked as the No. 14 prospect nationally, the competition for Brown is stiff. The Jefferson (Ga.) High School prospect has put a lot of consideration on Tennessee though.

Relationships matter, and Tennessee’s relationships with Brown could go a long way in June.

Four-star ATH Boo Carter

Carter, who has been one of the hottest names for Tennessee football in the 2024 cycle, is also expected to be on campus this weekend.

The four-star out of Brainerd (Tn.) High School holds a crystal ball from Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports for Tennessee. This weekend could further the Vols standing as the top school for Carter.

Four-star LB Edwin Spillman

Brother of current Vol Nate Spillman, Edwin Spillman has been seen as another prospect that Tennessee is in good standing with.

The No. 4 prospect from Tennessee also holds a crystal ball from Wiltfong to the Vols. This weekend could be crucial in closing the deal for the four-star prospect out of Lipscomb (Tn.) Academy.

Four-star OT Daniel Calhoun

Calhoun has locked in a June official visit with Tennessee, and he will be a tough get out of the state of Georgia.

Calhoun also has official visits with Georgia, Texas, Alabama and Auburn. The visit this weekend could be crucial in the Vols quest to beat out some top schools for the 6-foot-6.5 and 330-pound lineman.

Tennessee commitments Jesse Perry and Gage Ginther will be in town as well, likely helping peer recruit Calhoun to join them.

Four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain

Fountain has locked in an official visit with Tennessee for June 23, and he is also expected to be in Knoxville this weekend.

Fountain, coming out of Booker T. Washington (Ga.) High School, is ranked as the No. 81 prospect nationally. He also an official visit locked in with Southern California.

Fountain picked up seven sacks and 56 tackles in his junior season.

Four-star LB Jordan Burns

Burns, out of Pace (Ga.) Academy, is another big name expected to be in Knoxville this weekend. The two-way player, playing both linebacker and running back, will likely play on the defensive side in college.

He ranks as the No. 34 linebacker in his class, and only has one confirmed official visit locked in with Arkansas.

Tennessee commitments expected in town

On top of the previously mentioned offensive lineman in Perry and Ginther that are expected to be in town this weekend, the Vols will also welcome several other commitments to campus.

Four-star Kaleb Beasley, four-star Jake Merklingerfour-star Johnathan Echolsthree-star Jeremias Heard and three-star Carson Gentle round out the list of prospects committed to Tennessee that are expected to be in town this weekend.

Peer recruiting will be huge this weekend as the Vols look to round out their 2024 class.
