Four-star defensive lineman Ethan Utley is nearing the date in which he’ll announce his college destination. That’s fine with the Vols. They appear to be great shape to land the highly rated prospect.

The Vols can seemingly offer all of that to the 6-foot-4, 270-pound prospect. However, the competition is tough. Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee and Syracuse are all in the running for the highly rated prospect.

ESPN ranks Utley as the No. 127 prospect overall, the No. 10 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 4 prospect from Tennessee.
Rivals ranks Utley as the No. 190 prospect overall, the No. 14 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 5 prospect from Tennessee.

Utley attends Ensworth High School in Nashville, Tenn. In 2022, he had 25 tackles (10 TFL) and 4.5 sacks. He also does track and field throwing events.
