Tennessee’s betting line against LSU begins to settle after being announced on Sunday

The betting community seems to think that LSU is underrated, at least in terms of the point spread.

Despite early numbers indicating that the Tigers were a four or five-point underdog early on Sunday, the betting line for the Tennessee-LSU game seems to have settled with the Vols as a 3.5-favorite over the Tigers on Saturday, according to FanDuel.

While some sports books had Tennessee as a bigger favorite earlier in the day, the number ended up just over a field goal between the two teams. That movement is an indication that bettors are taking LSU to win, cover or both.

The line is surely affected by the game time. Instead of playing at night, in which Tiger Stadium in notoriously loud, the game will be held at noon EST. Tennessee center Cooper Mays discussed the early kickoff on The Vol Report.

  1. The LSU fans will have finished their piece of alligator tail for breakfast and will be raring to go by 11 a.m. We found it to be a fun away game with inclusion in their awesome tailgating before and after the game.
