Akana’s top 10 includes Tennessee as well as Alabama, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M, Hawaii, Utah, Notre Dame, and LSU.
Akana is ranked as a four-star prospect in the class of 2023. He is the No. 94 recruit in his class.
The linebacker has already taken three official visits this season. Akana visited LSU, Texas, and Oklahoma. He also plans to take a visit to Texas A&M soon.
Josh Heupel and Tennessee are vying for the 6-foot-4 and 225-pound athlete’s last official visit.
Akana was extended a scholarship offer from the Volunteers in July of 2021. He has unofficially visited Tennessee and camped with the Volunteers a couple times. Getting him on campus for a game would be a huge step in the right direction for the Vols.
Akana attends Skyridge High School in Lehi, UT.
