After finishing spring practice at No. 6, Tennessee Football dropped to No. 8 in the final SP+ rankings for 2023 by Bill Connelly of ESPN. The Vols fell below the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Clemson Tigers. They are fourth in the SEC behind the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers.
