Tennessee football made the cut for Mark Zackery IV. The class of 2025 cornerback released his top 10 schools on Monday.
His top 10 consisted of Tennessee as well as Cincinatti, Oregon, Georgia, Purdue, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, Southern Calif. and Ohio State.
“Very grateful and blessed to be in the position I am in today and looking forward to finding the best place for me. #AGTG,” Zackery wrote on social media. “My recruitment is still open!!!”
Zackery ranks as the No. 167 prospect overall by 247Sports Composite rankings. He also ranks as the No. 23 cornerback in the 2025 class and the No. 2 prospect from Indiana. Out of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Steve Wiltfong put in a crystal ball on Monday for Zackery to end up at Notre Dame.
The 5-foot-10.5, 164-pound Zackery holds offers from 30 schools. The Vols extended the cornerback a scholarship offer last May. He plays both receiver and cornerback for Ben Davis High School, helping lead his school to a 13-1 record and a Indiana 6-A State Championship.
Zackery will visit Notre Dame next in January before the recruiting dead period.
Last fall, Zackery picked up 53 receptions for 823 yards and eight touchdowns. On defense, he added 39 tackles, four interceptions, eight pass breakups, a fumble returned for a touchdown and an interception returned for a touchdown. Impressively against powerhouse IMG Academy, Zackery caught six passes for 42 yards and a touchdown on offense while totaling a pass breakup and a fumble recovery.
Zackery also plays basketball for Ben Davis. Last season he averaged 6.6 points per game, 2.1 assists per game and 1.8 rebounds per game over the course of a 33-0 state championship season for Ben Davis.
The four-star has yet to visit Tennessee, but he may come to Knoxville for one of the Vols’ junior days.
