ESPN ranks Matthews as the No. 88 prospect overall, the No. 13 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 2 prospect from New Jersey.

Rivals ranks Matthews as the No. 27 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 6 prospect from New Jersey.

High school by the numbers

6-foot-5, 290-pound Matthews attends Toms River North High School in Toms River, NJ.

2021: Played snaps both ways on the offensive and defensive lines as a freshman. Recorded 45 tackles, five TFL, two sacks, and one fumble recovery.
